Next Steps to Join the Quest:
1. Schedule a Consultation Call
If you have questions you’d like to discuss directly with the therapist, please schedule a call through our portal here.
2. Book Your Intake Appointment
All group members start with a private, 50-minute intake appointment. This one-on-one session ensures the group is a good fit and allows you to discuss your background, set personal goals, and discuss your treatment plan for the upcoming campaign. The cost for this initial appointment is $175, and insurance benefits can be utilized if applicable. Click here to schedule.
3. Complete Intake Paperwork
After scheduling, we will send your intake documents through the SimplePractice portal. All paperwork must be completed prior to your session so your therapist can be fully prepared to support you. Please note that completed paperwork is required to officially reserve your spot in the group.
Arrival Guide:
All in-person appointments and groups take place at the Wellness Quest Counseling office located at 100 Allens Creek Rd Suite 200. Our office is located on the top floor. Please enter suite 200 and wait in the waiting room for a therapist to greet you. Parents may choose to accompany their child to the group intake appointment, or stay in the waiting area.
For group sessions, parents can choose to drop off, or stay in the waiting area. Parents that drop off must remain reachable by phone.
Please send your child with a water bottle. We take a brief snack break; please notify us of any food allergies.

No prior D&D experience is necessary! Beginners are always welcome. We teach you everything you need to know as we go. We provide the character sheets, explain the dice, and guide the story so you can focus on the social and emotional journey. Whether you've played for years or have never held a 20-sided die, you’ll fit right in.

Currently all groups are run by lead therapist and founder, John Bert. To provide the best support, some groups may have a second therapist present to support behavioral needs and help the game run smoothly. All of our therapists are licensed mental health providers and certified in game therapy.
-
Yes, in several ways! We are in-network with Aetna.
If we are not in-network with your specific plan, you may still be able to save on the cost of care. Many clients utilize their out-of-network benefits to get a significant portion of their session fees covered.
To make this easy for you, we provide a Superbill at the end of each month. You simply upload this to your insurance portal, and they may mail you a check directly. We recommend checking your "Out-of-Network" benefits before our first session! Many plans reimburse between 50% and 80% of the session cost once your deductible is met.
Coverage Type & How It Works
In-Network: We currently accept Aetna. You are only responsible for your co-pay or deductible.
Out-of-Network: You pay the full fee upfront, and we provide a Superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.
HSA/FSA: We accept Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account cards for all sessions.

Your spot is reserved once you have scheduled an intake appointment and completed your intake paperwork. During your intake session, you and your therapist will discuss which group is the best fit for your needs. Following that meeting, you will be officially added to the group schedule.

Our first meeting is what we call Session Zero, where the group meets to set the stage before the "game" actually begins. During Session Zero, we focus on character creation and world-building.
We also establish "Table Rules" and clinical boundaries to ensure the space feels safe, respectful, and inclusive for everyone.
It’s a collaborative way to get to know your fellow adventurers, and ensure everyone is on the same page before the story starts. It’s where we turn a group of individuals into a "party."
If you’re ready to take the next step, please reach out via our portal to schedule your intake. We can't wait to hear from you!
